Rebecca has over 20 years’ experience across the public and third sectors. Her work with clients spans board support, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.
She has also had key roles in several complex projects, including leading a team to set up and support a panel of marginalised women from across Scotland to share their experiences with Scottish Government officials, helping them with their commitments to gender equality. She moved to Dumfries and Galloway in 2013 after a number of years in university fundraising and events management and has worked in the arts and community sectors since. Rebecca’s clients value her calm approach to finding solutions, her clear thinking and willingness to become a temporary member of the team. Read on to find out more about some of Rebecca's work.

Rebecca was commissioned by The Holywood Trust to work with four organisations across Dumfries and Galloway. The Trust’s support helps community organisations take time to identify areas of their work that need more attention so that they can make an even bigger impact on the young people they work with. The work is concentrated around each organisation’s priority and can cover strategic planning, governance and board development, partnership and stakeholder engagement, community participation, communications, funding, team development and leadership support. Current work includes supporting organisations including Dumfries Y Gymnastics, Newton Stewart Initiative, DMC and Paragon Music in areas including risk management, strategic planning and organisational change.

Rebecca has been working with Dumfries and Galloway Rape Crisis & Sexual Abuse Support Centre (DGRC & SASC) to support them to refresh their strategic plan. This has involved working with staff, board members and the management team to increase their knowledge and expertise so that the finished plan is a working document that will guide their work and decision-making over the next five years.
Rebecca has been working to support a panel of marginalised women to share their experiences with Scottish Government officials. Although the main project is now complete, there have been additional meetings between the Panel and decision-makers within the school age childcare division and wider equality, inclusion and human rights directorate to hear about the impact of sharing their lived experience.
